Job Summary
Triage patients upon arrival and communicate with the provider regarding symptoms and abnormal vitals. Document visits in the EMR system and assist with procedures including splinting, radiology, vaccines, medication administration, and phlebotomy. Administer medications as directed, prepare and maintain exam rooms, obtain lab samples, and provide patient education. Handle front office duties such as insurance verification, patient registration, phone answering, and payment processing. Requires CMA or LVN certification with pediatric experience, BLS certification, and knowledge of HIPAA and EMR software. Required Qualifications
- Passion for working with children
- Experience in a Pediatric Office, Pediatric Hospital, or Urgent Care within the past 3 years, with a minimum duration of 6 months
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with a Texas license
- BLS certification required (online renewal accepted by the American Heart Association)
- Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, basic clinical procedures, CLIA-Waived Testing, and EMR software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
