Job Summary
Set up exam rooms, check in patients, and maintain the patient recall system including continuity of care logs for lab tests, referrals, and transfers. Obtain vital signs, report significant findings to the physician, and perform audiometry and vision testing. Work full-time day shifts under the supervision of a licensed physician or advanced practice provider. Maintain required certifications including Medical Assistant certification and Basic Life Support. Adhere to Adventist Health's vaccination requirements and E-Verify policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or California Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Medical Assistant - NCCT (NCCT) or Certified Medical Assistant- NHA (CMA-NHA) or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Medical Assistant (MA) or American Medical Tech Board MA (MA-AMT) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP
- Phlebotomy certificate
- All required vaccinations
- E-Verify participation acknowledgment
