Job Summary
Certified Medical Assistant in Family Practice performs delegated clinical duties within a supervising clinician’s scope, including taking medical histories, assisting during procedures, venipuncture, injections, EKGs, nebulizer treatments, lab specimen handling, vital signs, and preparing specimens; supports patient intake, documentation in EHR, and coordination of care across multiple sites; travel to various sites is required; strong interpersonal skills, proficiency with medical equipment, and computer skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certificate of completion from an accredited medical assistant program
- Certification must remain current during the entire course of employment
- Minimum six months’ experience preferred
