Job Summary
Room patients, document vitals, and complete medical history forms. Perform procedures including dressing changes, EKGs, and injections as directed by the provider. Schedule tests, radiology exams, and appointments while entering check-in/check-out data into the EMR and handling prior authorizations. Administer immunizations and update records for Family Physicians, Women's Care, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics. Conduct phone triage for medical questions, test results, and medication refills. Perform walk-in duties such as triage, blood pressures, and collecting patient history. Greet visitors and staff while supporting the Mission and Values of JMH. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM, 80 pay period, 1-hour lunch.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate
- Specialized courses to include the successful completion of, and graduation from, a recognized medical assistant training course
- Equivalent experience to recognized medical assistant training course
- Current CMA (AAMA), RMA, NCMA or CCMA certification
- Current BLS or CPR for Healthcare Providers certification within 6 months of hire
