Job Summary
Medical Assistant needed for Stamford clinic on a per-diem basis to support physicians, RNs, and staff in performing physical examinations and procedures. Responsibilities include performing EKGs and other medical screenings, drawing blood, measuring vital signs, recording patient information, and preparing treatment rooms. Requires phlebotomy experience, current certification(s), 2+ years clinical experience, knowledge of EKGs, BLS, and strong organizational and communication skills; proficiency with MS Office and web applications; commitment to preventive care.
Required Qualifications
- Phlebotomy experience
- Current membership in AAMA, AMT, NHA or NCCT
- Two or more years’ experience in the medical field
- Knowledge of EKGs and other medical screenings
- Basic Life Support training and certification
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office and Web-based applications
- Practices a preventive health lifestyle
