Job Summary
Conduct patient triage, obtain vital signs, and document visit reasons while preparing charts for providers. Administer immunizations, allergy injections, and medications per orders; perform venipuncture, EKGs, lab tests, and dressing changes. Assist with patient examinations, procedures, and sample collection; schedule appointments and coordinate paperwork for referrals and prior authorizations. Manage medical supply inventory, perform required quality controls, and notify patients of test results. Complete all assigned training and adhere to infection control policies within the practice network.
Required Qualifications
- Certification/Registration through the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) ~American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or National Health Career Association (NHA)
- BLS/CPR, AED Certification
- 2+ years Medical Assistant experience
