Certified Medical Assistant

Assess patient physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interviews, and medical record reviews to report findings to providers. Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, mini treatments, prevention services, previsit planning, and medication refills while maintaining accurate chart documentation. Contribute to patient care plans by identifying barriers to self-management and providing education based on health literacy and readiness. Engage patients using motivational interviewing and teachback methodology, and precept new staff or students as needed.
