Job Summary
Certified Medical Assistant for Urgent Care in Clemson area providing direct and indirect patient care under supervision. Responsibilities include taking patient history, measuring vital signs (blood pressure, pulse oximetry, height, weight, temperature), preparing exam rooms, administering medications (oral, injections, topical), collecting specimens, documenting in medical records, and assisting providers. Requires completion of a medical assisting program and active MA certification; must meet state guidelines and be able to travel to other facilities as needed. Skills include strong communication, attention to detail,Ability to multitask, medical terminology, and proficiency with standard office equipment. Required Qualifications
- High School or GED
- Active Medical Assisting Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NCCT, NRCMA, NCMA)
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant post-secondary education program (preferred in SC)
- 1 year of MA experience (preferred)
