Job Summary
Register patients upon entrance and perform all necessary front office operations. Prepare equipment, rooms, and patients for exams while rotating among clinical, laboratory, and radiology service areas. Assist physicians with treatments, perform vitals, draw blood samples, and conduct point-of-care testing. Execute diagnostic imaging procedures, position patients for scans, and process images for quality control. Provide patient-centered care, explain instructions, and cross-train team members. Maintain daily logs, complete competency assessments, and adhere to Wellstar safety protocols and clinical standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Accounting or GED
- Other / Certificate Medical Assisting or Accredited Program Medical Assisting
- Medical Assistant credentialing body examination (AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT) with current and maintained Medical Assistant Credential
- Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor
- OSHA training course for operators of radiology equipment
- Work experience in a practice setting
- Able to communicate and understand verbal and written English language
- holds basic computer skills
- Must be organized and attentive to detail
- Must be able to work quickly and efficiently to assure patient comfort and satisfaction
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred and Specific experience in practice specialty
- Radiology experience
- Phlebotomy certification
