Job Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)/Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) supports a urology clinic with administrative and direct patient care duties. Responsibilities include rooming patients and collecting medical histories, assisting with urologic procedures, coordinating patient care, managing documentation, and maintaining efficient clinic workflow to deliver high-quality patient service. Requires CMA/NCCT, CMA/AAMA, RMA/AMT and other listed certifications, BLS within 30 days, and relevant healthcare experience. The role includes administrative tasks (check-in/check-out, prior authorizations, scheduling, referrals), patient communications, specimen collection, injections, medication administration, and EMR documentation.

  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) (AMT)
  • Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) – NAHP
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days – AHA
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) – NHA
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) (ARMA) – ARMA
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) (AAH) – AAH
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) (AAH) – AAH
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED
  • Work Experience: Relevant medical assistant or healthcare experience preferred
  • Rooming patients

  • Gathering and maintaining patient information
  • Administrative tasks (check-in/check-out, prior authorizations, scheduling, verification of benefits, referrals)
  • Assisting with office procedures
  • Performing suture or staple removal
