Job Summary
Conduct point-of-care diagnostic testing, administer immunizations and oral medications, and perform procedures such as urine catheterizations and suture removal under provider direction. Manage patient intake by collecting chief complaints, vital signs, and medication histories, while completing pre-visit telephone calls for reconciliation and verifying allergies. Coordinate administrative tasks including appointment scheduling, benefit verification, prior authorizations, and prescription refill requests with pharmacies. Document all patient care activities, communications, and interventions within the EMR, retrieve condition-specific education materials, and collaborate with providers to maintain Team-Based Care binders. Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and provider-directed interventions while maintaining competency in specialized equipment and departmental processes.
