Job Summary
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at Pecos Family Clinic provides patient care under supervision, assisting with clinical procedures (vital signs, injections, phlebotomy, vaccines, EKGs, wound care), preparing exam rooms, managing patient intake and referrals, handling administrative duties (scheduling, insurance eligibility, communications), maintaining supplies, and educating patients. Requires CMA certification (AAMA or NCMA), BCLS certification, 0-1 years clinical or externship experience, and work authorization in the U.S. Full-time position based in Carlsbad, NM with a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA required or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)-NCTT required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) required
