Job Summary

Conduct clinical and administrative support to medical professionals, including taking patient histories and vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting physicians during procedures. Collect and process laboratory specimens, administer medications as directed, and perform basic lab tests while instructing patients on medication and special diets. Manage patient flow by greeting arrivals, scheduling appointments, maintaining records, and coordinating referrals to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Requires active Medical Assistant certification, current BLS certification, and proficiency in medical terminology and electronic health records.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registry or Certification as a Medical Assistant through a recognized certification body
  • Current BLS certification
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and procedures
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize various responsibilities
