Job Summary
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) provides patient care under a medical provider's supervision, assisting with clinical procedures (vital signs, wound care, sutures, injections, phlebotomy, vaccines, EKGs) and managing exam rooms. Responsibilities include preparing and cleaning exam rooms, patient intake and triage, documenting medical information, and supporting administrative tasks such as pre-registering patients, scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, and verifying insurance eligibility. Maintains inventory, educates patients on medications and health topics, and ensures efficient clinic operations. Requires 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship, CMA-AAMA or NCMA-NCTT certification, and Basic Life Support certification; ability to work in the U.S.
Required Qualifications
- 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA required or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)-NCTT required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support issued by AHA/ARC/ASHI
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
