Job Summary
Conduct medical intake procedures including vital signs and history, perform complete patient evaluations, and record symptoms and treatment changes. Perform venipuncture and fingersticks, prepare specimens using aseptic technique, and process samples according to laboratory protocols. Assist the front desk by greeting patients, collecting payments, verifying insurance information, and scheduling appointments. This role supports individuals impacted by infectious diseases at CAN Community Health, a non-profit recognized as a Best Place to Work for six years.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA)
- Ability to achieve certification within 6 months of hire
- CPR certification
- 1+ years of experience in a clinical setting
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Valid insurance
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a Level I and Level II Background check
Desired Qualifications
