Job Summary
Conduct medical intake procedures including vital signs and patient history, perform complete evaluations, and record symptoms and treatment changes. Execute phlebotomy tasks such as venipuncture and fingersticks using standard precautions, prepare specimens with aseptic technique, and process them according to laboratory protocols. Assist the front desk by greeting patients, collecting and processing payments, verifying insurance eligibility, and scheduling appointments. This role supports individuals impacted by HIV, Hepatitis C, and other infectious diseases at CAN Community Health, a non-profit recognized for six years as an NPT's Best Non-Profit to Work for.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA)
- Ability to achieve certification within 6 months of hire
- CPR certification
- 1+ years of experience in a clinical setting
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Valid insurance
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a Level I and Level II Background check
Desired Qualifications
