Job Summary
Certified Medical Assistant to join Digestive Center. Responsibilities include rooming patients, recording vital signs, administering injections, performing venipuncture, urinalysis, and EKG testing; setting up and cleaning procedure rooms for in-office procedures; proper disposal of biohazard and sharps waste; stocking supplies; and ensuring aseptic technique and standard precautions. Must hold a valid CMA certification (AAMA, NCCT, or NHA) and BLS; strong English communication and teamwork skills; commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with active certification by AAMA or NCCT or NHA
- Ability to relate and work effectively with others
- Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and documentation
- Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own professional advancement
