Job Summary
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) sought to support front desk operations and perform phlebotomy. Responsibilities include medical intake Procedures (vital signs, history), complete patient evaluation and assessment, documenting symptoms and treatments, administering immunizations as directed, practicing safe phlebotomy, and handling front desk tasks such as collecting payments, verifying insurance, scheduling appointments, and ensuring proper documentation. The role requires CMA certification or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months, CPR certification, a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1+ years of clinical experience preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. This position is at CAN Community Health in Lake Worth, FL with a full-time daytime schedule and occasional extended hours on bi-monthly rotations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA) is required or ability to achieve certification within 6 months of hire
- CPR certification required
- 1+ years of experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have valid insurance and driver’s license
- Background check as required
