Job Summary
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) needed to support both clinical duties and front-desk tasks at CAN Community Health in Jacksonville, FL. Responsibilities include medical intake procedures (vital signs, history), phlebotomy/venipuncture, immunizations as directed, clinical documentation of symptoms and treatments, processing patient payments and insurance verification at check-in, and scheduling follow-ups. The role combines patient care with front-d desk support, requiring accurate patient processing, confidentiality, and adherence to CAN Community Health’s mission and values. Qualifications emphasize a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred), CMA/RMA/CCMA certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months), CPR certification, and 1+ years clinical experience (preferred). Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks are required. Required Qualifications

- Background check (Level I and II) required
