Job Summary
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at CAN Community Health; performs Medical Assistant duties (clinical intake, vital signs, history, immunizations, phlebotomy) and Front Desk responsibilities (greeting patients, processing payments, verifying insurance, scheduling follow-ups); handles venipuncture/fingerstick, specimen labeling, processing and transport per lab protocols; supports HIV, Hepatitis C, STI care in a mission-driven, non-profit setting; requires CMA certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months) and CPR; bilingual English/Spanish a plus; schedule includes Full-Time Day Shift with extended hours on bi-monthly rotation and sign-on bonus available through April 30, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA) is required or ability to achieve certification within 6 months of hire
- CPR certification required
- 1+ years of experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have valid insurance and driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a Level I and Level II Background check as required
