Job Summary
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) — Physician Office — Forest Park Internal Medicine & Pediatrics: Supporting the primary care physician by reviewing/updating health records, measuring vital signs, preparing treatment rooms, and performing clerical duties. Provides patient-friendly service, reviews patient charts, verifies diagnostic test results, and assists with examinations. Requires active MA certification from CMA/RMA/CCMA/NHA/NCMA/NCCT and basic computer/communication skills; prior or ongoing experience in a medical office with flexibility to perform a range of clinical and administrative tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or GED
- Active Medical Assisting certification from CMA; RMA; CCMA; NHA; NCMA; NCCT
- BLS Basic Life Support, American Heart Association (required at hire for Roper St Francis Healthcare locations; preferred at hire, required prior to independent patient care at BSMH)
