Job Summary

Greet patients and families professionally, manage reception duties including call handling, appointment reminders, and insurance information collection. Administer direct patient care by preparing patients for exams, assisting with minor procedures, and monitoring conditions to notify providers of changes. Process patient data by scanning documents into the EMR, keying registration information, and ensuring confidentiality. Coordinate patient care by communicating with providers, scheduling tests, obtaining prior authorizations, and following up on lab and diagnostic imaging results. Maintain equipment and supplies, conduct monthly audits, and ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Currently certified or registered as a Medical Assistant
  • Strong clerical skills
  • Proficiency in keyboarding
  • Ability to operate office equipment
