Job Summary
Gather patient information, prepare patients for examinations and procedures, and assist providers during treatments. Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and other pertinent information in the electronic health record. Administer medications via topical, oral, subcutaneous, or intramuscular routes, perform dressing changes, and remove sutures and staples. Obtain laboratory specimens as ordered and communicate effectively with patients, providers, and the healthcare team. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all clinic policies and procedures. This role supports providers at Gabert Clinic within Glendive Medical Center's community-focused rural healthcare network.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certificate from an accredited Medical Assisting Program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Excellent patient service and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- General knowledge of nursing and healthcare terminology
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Offers of employment are contingent upon successfully passing pre-employment screenings
