Job Summary
Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information to medical records while assisting in examination and treatment under physician direction. Prepare treatment rooms and support a decentralized, patient-centered care approach under direct supervision of a registered nurse. Requires AMT, AAMA, NHA, or NAHP certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), plus current Basic Life Support (BLS). Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. with a 40-hour weekly schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited medical assisting program
- One year of patient care experience
- Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) through the American Medical Technologist (AMT), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), or National Health career Association (NHA)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited medical assisting program with one year of patient care experience
