Job Summary
Certified Medical Assistant role providing direct and/or telephone patient care, assisting physicians with clinical procedures, and coordinating with the care team in a medical office environment in New Paltz, NY. Work hours are 8:00am–5:00pm, five days per week, temporary position with temp-to-perm potential. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of clinical experience (or GA of an accredited M.A. program), and current CPR/BLS certification. Preferred: graduate of an accredited MA program and MA certification; must obtain MA certification if not yet certified. May involve autoclave use and exposure to clinical environments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of clinical experience in a medical office / clinic or hospital setting, or graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
- Current CPR / BLS certification.
- Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program preferred
- Must obtain certification through the CMM M.A exam course if not yet certified at time of employment.
