Job Summary
Clinical Medical Assistant coordinates with the care team to ensure seamless patient delivery, assists physicians with clinical procedures, and engages patients by direct and telephone contact following established standards. The role includes moving and lifting patients, working in a medical office environment, and using the computer for documentation, with responsibilities that span patient care, procedure support, and coordination with other care providers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of clinical experience in a medical office/clinic or hospital setting, or graduate of an accredited medical assistant program
- Record of prior stable employment and/or favorable references
- Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program (preferred) with at least one year of recent experience as a medical assistant
- Current certification as a medical assistant or eligible for certification
- Must obtain certification through the CMM M.A exam course if not yet certified at time of employment
- Current CPR / BLS certification
