Job Summary
Medical Assistant II (Cardiology) role supporting a cardiology clinic under licensed clinicians; performs clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, Point of Care tests, administering non-intravenous injections, patient transport, room setup/sterilization, chart maintenance, data entry in EMR, processing prescriptions and referrals, and coordinating with insurers for pre-authorization and coverage; requires ability to assist with routine examinations, document patient health status, maintain supplies, and uphold the organization’s Standards of Respect. Eligible candidates typically hold a high school diploma or equivalent, current BLS/HS certification, and an approved MA credential per MA Department of Health. This is a full-time, day-shift position in Worcester, MA with 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Heart Saver (HS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Medical Assistant credential, approved by the Massachusetts Department of Health (ARMA, NHA, etc.)
