Job Summary
Conduct team-based patient care under close supervision, assisting nursing, lab, clerical, and Physician staff to facilitate positive patient outcomes. Collect patient data including biological, psychological, social, and cultural factors, enter vital signs, and implement standing orders based on patient complaints. Perform 12-lead EKGs, respiratory care procedures, and administer oral and parenteral medications, immunizations, and controlled substances according to specified policies. Complete prior authorizations, communicate prescriptions to pharmacies, and oversee appointment bookings to maintain timely patient flow. Provide accurate documentation of all procedures in the medical record and triage patient concerns to nursing staff and physicians.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA)/Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
- Ability to pass a clinical skills assessment and medication administration test within ninety (90) days of hire, and within 3 attempts
