Certified Medical Assistant

Schedule intake appointments, check in patients, escort them to and from the waiting room, and interview patients to measure vital signs while recording information into electronic charts. Assist the Medical Director, Program Physician, or Nurse Practitioner with patient intakes, obtain blood and nonblood specimens for laboratory testing, and prepare treatment rooms for examination. Disinfect rooms, equipment, and supplies using germicides, act as receptionist to manage phone contacts and fax messages, and file lab results for counselors. Maintain medical records, prepare reports, and attend weekly staff meetings and in-service trainings. This role supports MedMark Treatment Centers, a progressive substance abuse organization committed to addressing opioid use disorder in a comfortable outpatient clinic setting.
