Job Summary
Provide direct clinical support to physicians and advanced practice providers by obtaining vital signs, collecting patient history, and reconciling medications. Prepare patients for examinations, assist with clinic flow, and document information accurately in the EPIC electronic medical record. Schedule appointments, coordinate follow-up care, and process prescription refill requests and prior authorizations. After completing clinical competency, perform procedures including EKGs, phlebotomy, laboratory testing, injections, and vaccinations. Maintain a safe, organized, and patient-focused clinical environment. Full-time first shift role with a $2,000 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of experience providing direct, hands-on patient care in a medical office, clinic, or similar healthcare setting
- Successful completion of Medical Assistant orientation and clinical competency assessment upon hire
- Basic computer skills
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
- BAT and DOT certifications within 90 days of hire for Occupational Medicine positions
Desired Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification through AAMA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, or AAMP
- Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN program with current unrestricted licensure
