Job Summary
Certified Medical Assistant position focused on hands-on clinical support: assists clinicians with exams and minor in-office procedures, measures vital signs, performs phlebotomy and EKGs, documents pain scores and chief complaints, coordinates patient care including referrals and scheduling, maintains medical records and billing information, supports infection control and equipment sterilization, orders supplies, and fosters effective communication with patients and external contacts. Requires completing a medical assistant training program, current MA certification, and BLS, with proficiency in medical software and strong interpersonal skills. Full-time schedule Monday–Friday, 7:00am–5:30pm at Banner Health’s Worland clinic.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Completion of an approved medical assistant training program per state regulations
- Active Medical Assistant Certification (e.g., CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA) or equivalent membership proof
- BLS certification
- Ability to work with medical software/EMR
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple changing priorities
- Arizona-specific clearance not applicable for this location (role is WY-based)
