Job Summary
Prepare exam rooms, take vital signs, and administer medications per provider instruction while documenting in the EMR. Perform in-office testing, assist with phlebotomy, and handle minor procedures including wound care and sterilization. Conduct pre-visit chart prep, flag quality metrics, and process referrals and prior authorizations. Collaborate with the care team during daily huddles to ensure continuity of care and support population health initiatives. Deliver compassionate patient education and maintain accurate documentation for quality programs. This Certified Medical Assistant role requires one evening shift weekly and one Saturday shift monthly, with a base hourly rate of $19.00 to $25.00. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- May require light lifting (up to 20 lbs.)
- Must have visual and auditory acuity to operate computer systems and phones
Desired Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Certification (CMA/RMA)
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in a medical office or ambulatory healthcare setting
- Proficient in the use of electronic medical records (EMR)
