Certified Medical Assistant

Assist with treatments ordered by providers and perform select clinical duties under supervision. Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on charts while preparing treatment rooms for examinations. Handle basic clerical tasks such as answering phones, maintaining records, and filing, plus materials management functions including ordering and stocking supplies. Maintain a clean and orderly environment and document provider encounters by listing diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions. Transcribe patient orders for laboratory tests, radiology, and medications. Requires BLS and Medical Assistant certification within 30 and 90 days, respectively, with a Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm schedule at Ascension Medical Group Clinic.
