Job Summary
Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, medical histories, and recording symptoms. Assist healthcare providers during procedures by handling instruments and supplies, while managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and answering phone calls. Perform basic laboratory tests, collect specimens, and maintain equipment sterilization. Educate patients on medication instructions and treatment plans. Requires CMA certification, BLS certification, and EHR proficiency. Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. Required Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) from an accredited program
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a clinical healthcare environment
- Additional certifications such as Phlebotomy or EKG Technician
- Familiarity with insurance billing and coding processes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Bilingual abilities to assist diverse patient populations
