Job Summary
Conduct quality patient care under physician direction by rooming patients, taking vitals, documenting in electronic medical records, and administering injections and minor procedures. Maintain clinical equipment, patient records, and exam room supplies per OSHA and regulatory standards while triaging calls and scheduling appointments. Monitor patient conditions, report reactions to treatments, and instruct patients on medication and sample collection as ordered. Ensure accurate calibration and cleaning of lab devices, distribute controlled substances, and assist with exams and procedures. Current certification through AAMA, AMT, or NHA and BLS certification required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be certified through American Medical Technologist (AMT), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National Healthcareer Association (NHA), National Association of Healthcare Professionals (NAHP), Medical Career Assessments (MedCA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), or National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
- Ability to lift, lower, push and pull and/or carry objects weighing 50 lbs (+/-) unassisted
- Exert up to 50 lbs of force
- Lift from 36" to overhead 25 lbs
- Maintain 20/40 vision corrected
- Ability to be qualified physically for respirator use, initially and as required
- Work in a latex safe environment
- Work indoors
- Possess good finger dexterity
- Perform repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders
- Reach in all directions
- Fully use both hands and legs
- Ability to bend at the waist
- Kneel
