Job Summary
Coordinate direct patient care activities and provide clinical support to providers in an outpatient clinic. Responsibilities include checking in patients, obtaining vital signs, medication reconciliation, collecting medical history, expediting patient flow, rooming patients, stocking clinic, navigating EPIC, scheduling and following up on appointments, assisting with prior authorizations and arranging tests/procedures. May perform EKG, phlebotomy, lab tests and injections after competency. Communicate with pharmacies, insurers, patients, and physicians while maintaining HIPAA/OSHA compliance. Emphasizes delivering an exceptional patient experience and supporting clinical excellence within Baptist Health Richmond Primary Care. The role is in-person in Richmond, KY.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Basic Life Support training within 90 days
- Clinical MA duties experience or MA education program
- Certification options from NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AAMP, NAHP or RN/LPN with licensure (preferred)
