Job Summary
Conduct clinical and administrative duties in a primary care or urgent care setting, including preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, and performing blood draws, injections, and minor procedures under the direction of a licensed Independent Provider. Manage patient records, coordinate appointments, and process insurance claims while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols. Provide age-specific care for newborns to elderly individuals, administer vaccines, and respond to medical emergencies using Basic Life Support standards. Work in a fast-paced environment requiring flexibility to rotate shifts, weekends, and holidays, utilizing strong communication skills to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited medical assisting program
- One (1+) year of experience in the healthcare field
- Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – Accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Consistently demonstrate professionalism in appearance and behavior
- Passion for providing exceptional patient care with an understanding of age-specific needs and cultural sensitivity

- Flexibility to rotate shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by the clinic's needs

- Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work (i.e. travel to attend meetings, events, conferences)
