Job Summary

Conduct clinical and administrative duties in a primary care or urgent care setting, including preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, and performing blood draws, injections, and minor procedures under the direction of a licensed Independent Provider. Manage patient records, coordinate appointments, and process insurance claims while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols. Provide age-specific care for newborns to elderly individuals, administer vaccines, and respond to medical emergencies using Basic Life Support standards. Work in a fast-paced environment requiring flexibility to rotate shifts, weekends, and holidays, utilizing strong communication skills to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited medical assisting program
  • One (1+) year of experience in the healthcare field
  • Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – Accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Consistently demonstrate professionalism in appearance and behavior
  • Passion for providing exceptional patient care with an understanding of age-specific needs and cultural sensitivity
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
  • Flexibility to rotate shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by the clinic's needs
  • English is required
  • Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work (i.e. travel to attend meetings, events, conferences)
  • Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, or other equipment
  • Subject to exposure to hazardous material
  • Must be able to exert regularly up to 10 pounds of force
  • Must be able to frequently exert 30 pounds of force
  • Must be able to occasionally exert 50 pounds of force
