Job Summary
Clinical Medical Assistant provides care to patients and/significant others via direct and/or telephone contact, coordinates with the care team to ensure seamless care delivery, and assists physicians or other providers with clinical procedures. Role includes handling typical medical office duties, operating in a team-based care environment, using a computer, and potential exposure to infectious materials. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of clinical experience or completion of an accredited MA program, and current CPR/BLS certification. May involve autoclave use and lifting up to 100 pounds; standard Monday–Friday schedule (M-F 8:30 am - 5:30 pm).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of clinical experience in a medical office / clinic or hospital setting, or graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
- Record of prior stable employment and / or favorable references.
- Current CPR / BLS certification.
- Current certification as a medical assistant or eligible for certification (preferred).
- Must obtain certification through the CMM M.A exam course if not yet certified at time of employment.
