Job Summary
Float Certified Medical Assistant position at Encompass Medical Group in the Hickman Mills Grandview, MO clinic. Responsibilities include organizing and prioritizing daily workflow, preparing patients for exams, performing procedures (ECG, immunizations, dressing changes, suture removal, spirometry, holter analysis), maintaining EMR documentation, coordinating care with outside consultants, ensuring proper coding and handling prior authorizations/referrals, assisting providers with exams, maintaining clinic cleanliness, ordering supplies, and supporting multiple service areas. Requires active CMA certification and completion of a certifiable MA course; 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday–Friday; travel to other offices may be required; BLS certification preferred/required; equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- certifiable Medical Assistant course or other approved training
- active Medical Assistant certification from a nationally recognized organization (NHA, NAHP, AAMA, AMT, NCPE, ARMA, NPS, NCCT)
