Job Summary
Manage financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and cost accounting to support strategic business decisions. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports while developing, monitoring, and maintaining budgets, forecasts, and financial models. Perform cost accounting analysis, including standard costing and variance analysis, and review and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure data accuracy. Monitor key performance indicators, assist with month-end and year-end close processes, and conduct financial analysis related to pricing, labor, and operational expenses. Evaluate internal controls, recommend process improvements, and prepare management reports for leadership meetings. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and support audits by preparing documentation. Collaborate with department leaders to support cost management and budget accountability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation
- Strong knowledge of financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling
- Experience with ERP/accounting software (such as Fishbowl, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- 3–7+ years of progressive accounting and financial analysis experience
- Experience in manufacturing, heavy industrial, or operational environments
- Knowledge of inventory accounting, standard costing, and job costing
- Experience in preparing executive-level financial reports and presentations
- CPA designation
- Strong organizational skills with excellent time management skills
- Ability to maintain and encourage an enthusiastic attitude, excellent initiative, and a strong work ethic for yourself, employees, coworkers, and all employees with whom you come in contact
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while being independent and autonomous
- Ability to work with all departments involved to facilitate communication and problem resolution to meet deadlines as needed and required to accomplish corporate goals & objectives
