Job Summary
Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The role covers hydraulics/pneumatic controls, preventative maintenance, startup/shutdown, and continual improvement, with work performed to ensure machinery is functional for production. Requires Red Seal or Certificate of Qualification by Skilled Trades Ontario, and experience with PLCs, blueprints, schematics, robotics, electrical and mechanical systems. Forklift/Aerial Certification and strong problem-solving abilities are essential. The position operates on a straight midnight shift and emphasizes safety and a culture of excellence.
Required Qualifications
- MUST have Red Seal or Certificate of Qualification recognized or issued by Skilled Trades Ontario (STO).
- Technical certification preferred in electrical, robotics, mechanical and/or fabrication
- 2+ years working in a JIT manufacturing environment
- Forklift/Aerial Certification
- Safety certification preferred
- Robotics, mechanical, welding, electrical knowledge
- Ability to read PLC, blueprints, and schematics
- Strong mechanical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
