Job Summary
Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and related network equipment. Implement network segmentation, VLANs, routing protocols, and QoS policies. Deploy and maintain structured cabling (copper and fiber). Monitor performance, perform firmware upgrades, and apply security patches. Maintain network documentation, diagrams, inventories, and configuration records; conduct audits for security compliance. Diagnose and resolve connectivity, performance, and security issues; provide advanced support and participate in on-call incidents. Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and access control; enforce security policies. Collaborate with help desk, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams; participate in upgrades and projects. Requires strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, OSPF/EIGRP/BGP, and experience with Cisco/Juniper/Aruba/Ubiquiti devices; wireless (Meraki) experience; virtualization and cloud networking (AWS/Azure) a plus. Excellent communication, ability to work independently and in a team, and strong organizational skills. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in server rooms/tech spaces.
