Job Summary
Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPSS) will work with the behavioral home team to provide leadership and technical assistance in developing and implementing BHHO peer support services. Responsibilities include identifying individual peer support needs, delivering individual and group peer support, acting as a peer role model, helping clients understand their rights within mental health and co-occurring services, networking to advocate for new community supports, sharing experiences to foster recovery, participating in BHHO staff meetings and supervision, providing volunteer peer services outside regular hours, coordinating transportation with ISP goals, and engaging in staff development. The role requires flexible hours (including weekends, evenings, and holidays), and is located within 30 miles of home in Wilton, ME. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CIPSS certification or CIPSS provisional certification
- Proof of vehicle insurance at $50K/$100K
- Valid Maine driver's license
- Self-identified mental health consumer who has personally experienced a severe and persistent mental illness
