Job Summary
Senior Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) to lead and manage IH and Building Sciences consulting projects in the New England region. Responsibilities include overseeing projects from proposal through completion, mentoring junior staff, developing career paths and performance reviews, maintaining client relationships across private/public/institutional sectors, coordinating internal resources and proposals, providing quality control of reports and RFPs, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and industry standards, representing the Environmental Health Team in meetings, and contributing to budgeting and strategic planning. Requirements include CIH certification, 10+ years in building sciences or industrial hygiene (with asbestos, lead, and mold experience), valid driver license and ability to pass background checks, ability to climb stairs/ladders, PPE usage, strong written/verbal skills, and ability to travel regionally; proficiency in MS Office and experience with technical reports, proposals/RFPs, and regulatory knowledge. Travel is local/regional with occasional off-hours work; position supports multiple New England offices (MA, VT, NH, CT).
Required Qualifications
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) required
- Bachelor's degree in science-related field preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in building sciences or industrial hygiene
- Experience with asbestos, mold, and lead related projects required
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and be able to pass a background check
- Ability to travel locally/regionally
- Ability to wear respirator and PPE as needed
- Excellent written, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to sign-off on technical reports and proposals/RFPs
- Knowledge of applicable regulations for asbestos, lead, indoor air quality, and industrial hygiene services
