Job Summary
Assess patients for hydrotherapy suitability and document comprehensive evaluations covering musculoskeletal, neurological, and post-operative conditions. Develop individualized treatment plans with clear functional goals and deliver evidence-based aquatic sessions utilizing buoyancy and resistance. Monitor physiological responses in water to modify intensity safely and assist patients with transfers using hoists and ramps. Educate patients on home programs and transition to land-based therapy while maintaining accurate clinical documentation. Ensure pool safety, infection control, and emergency readiness. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and train junior staff. Requires a licensed physiotherapist with hydrotherapy certification and BLS/ACLS skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy (BPT) or equivalent from a recognized university
- Valid professional license/registration to practice physiotherapy in the relevant country/Emirate (e.g., MOH / DOH / DHA or equivalent)
- Formal certification or documented training in Hydrotherapy / Aquatic Physiotherapy from a recognized body or institution
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- 2–3+ years clinical experience as a physiotherapist
- at least 1 year in hydrotherapy / aquatic physiotherapy in a hospital or rehabilitation setting
Desired Qualifications
- Master's in Physiotherapy with specialization in musculoskeletal / neuro / sports / cardio‐pulmonary
- Current certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
