Job Summary
Provide personal care and companionship for seniors within a 30-mile radius of the branch, including meal planning, food preparation, household cleaning, laundry, and medication reminders. Transport clients as directed and maintain a clean, safe environment while documenting services and reporting changes in condition to the supervisor. Use a smartphone to capture time and attendance, care tasks, and communication logs. Work part-time or full-time day, night, or weekend shifts with flexible hours.
Required Qualifications
- CHHA Certification
- Must be able to work some weekends
- Valid Driver's License
- Clean driving record
- Up-to-date smartphone for electronic viewing and capture of Time and Attendance, Care Tasks, and Communication
- High school graduation or GED
- Successfully completed a certified home health aide program
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
- Ability to work with minimal or close supervision
- Professional manner and high level of confidentiality
- Current listing with no substantial finding on state Aide Registry
- Updated Android or iPhone smartphone device
- Ability to commute to various client locations throughout the workday/week
- Eligibility to drive on company business
- Satisfactory driving record
- Physical ability to perform job-related duties which may require lifting, standing, bending, transferring, stooping, stretching, walking, pushing, pulling and the ability to provide partial or complete assistance with non-personal activities of daily living
- Ability to work in time-sensitive or stressful situations
- Ability to sit in a chair/stand for extended periods
- 50-90% of work is performed in a client's home
- Exposure to malodorous, infectious, body fluids and some minimal exposure to noxious smells from cleaning/disinfectant agents
Desired Qualifications
- Two years' experience in a similar position
- Two years' experience working with the elderly
