Job Summary
Provide compassionate in-home care by assisting clients with personal hygiene, mobility, meals, and light housekeeping. Support clients with approved exercises, offer companionship, and monitor health changes while maintaining accurate documentation. Follow individualized care plans and agency policies under the supervision of the Care Coordinator. Travel throughout Paramus, Ridgewood, Fort Lee, Hackensack, and surrounding Bergen County communities.
Required Qualifications
- Active New Jersey Certified Home Health Aide certification preferred for HHA positions
- Previous caregiving or home care experience preferred
- Compassionate, dependable, patient, and respectful
- Understanding of basic caregiving, nutrition, hygiene, and safety practices
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification, or willingness to obtain certification
- Current TB test or chest X-ray
- Ability to successfully complete a background check and all required pre-employment screenings
- Ability to travel throughout Paramus, Ridgewood, Fort Lee, Hackensack, and nearby communities
- Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and care documentation; assistance and training are available
- Reliable transportation is strongly preferred
