Job Summary
Conduct daily activities of daily living for hospice clients, including bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, oral feeding, and light housekeeping. Perform vital sign checks, assist with ambulation, and support transfers using mechanical lifting devices. Manage home tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and bed making while providing medication assistance and range of motion exercises. Maintain 1:1 patient ratio during visits across Bergen and Hudson counties with flexible scheduling and reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- Must have access to reliable transportation
- Have at least one year of work experience
- Must be listed on the NJ Aide Registry, active and in good standing
- Demonstrate an ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English
- Pass the BAYADA Competency Evaluation Examination
- Have a criminal background check completed
- Meet all state requirements
