Job Summary
Provide direct client care per the established client plan of care, including assistance with personal hygiene, toileting, dressing, walking and feeding; assist with certain treatments and therapy as ordered by the physician; remind the client to take medications; document on the Aide Charting Sheet daily; report changes to the agency/nursing supervisor; assist with lifting and transferring clients (up to 50 pounds); maintain a healthy, safe environment; offer emotional support and encourage client independence; wear identification badge; ensure compassionate, patient-focused care; position clients as instructed and follow plan of care.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
- Must have a certificate from a Home Health Aide training program consistent with State requirements with evidence of ongoing in-service education to maintain the certificate.
- Must have the maturity necessary for establishing and maintaining a good work relationship with the client, the client's family and agency personnel.
