Job Summary
Provide home health care and personal care assistance per the established care plan under nursing supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with personal hygiene, toileting, dressing, mobility, feeding, supervising or assisting with certain treatments, reminding clients to take medications, documenting in the Aide Charting Sheet, supporting client independence, and performing tasks as directed by the nursing supervisor. Must be eighteen or older, hold a Home Health Aide certificate, maintain in-service education, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Location: Ulster County, NY; Part-time schedule with compensation range $18.65–$21.00 per hour, with base salary estimates annually calculated from hourly rate. Workplace environment involves regular exposure to client care settings with responsibilities including documentation and use of medical supplies and equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
- Must have a certificate from a Home Health Aide training program consistent with State requirements
- Evidence of ongoing in-service education to maintain the certificate
- Be dependable and trustworthy
- Maintain in-service requirements as specified in State and agency regulations
- Willingness to provide compassionate patient care and establish rapport with clients
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required
- Wear an identification badge while working
